Madrid, 10 de junio de 2025. El proyecto Women4Future: Mujeres por el futuro de Europa sigue avanzando a buen paso en ruta por los siete países integrantes del consorcio de socios. Los días 12 y 13 de marzo tuvo lugar el tercer evento en Bucarest, Rumanía, donde estuvimos hablando de las mujeres emprendedoras como agentes relevantes en los cambios socioeconómicos en distintos países de Europa. El tema del evento fue “Mujeres como impulsoras del cambio socioeconómico”, dedicado a investigar cómo las mujeres, en solitario o en red, activan formas novedosas de emprender y liderar negocios, imprimiendo un sello social y con énfasis en las necesidades de su entorno.
Dos intensos días de plenarios, mesas de discusión, talleres participativos y actividades culturales que nos permitieron conocer la historia de muchas mujeres emprendedoras, sus increíbles aportes, sus fortalezas y los desafíos que deben enfrentar en el día a día.
Durante la visita, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer la impresionante Bucarest, en un tour impregnado de historias de mujeres: espías, reinas, actrices, cantantes, deportistas y mujeres anónimas que dieron forma a la historia reciente de Rumanía.
Además, y en concordancia con el tema del tercer evento, conocimos la historia y el trabajo de la librería Séneca Anticafé, una iniciativa liderada por mujeres emprendedoras con impacto social, y también a Felicia y el Centro Cultural Green Mogo, y su impresionante labor de educación y ejemplo de resiliencia ante la adversidad. Sin duda experiencias inspiradoras de mujeres que marcan el cambio en sus entornos y que nos mostraron el poder de las mujeres rumanas, de la mano de nuestras anfitrionas de Pro Xpert.

Una vez finalizado el evento en Bucarest, comenzamos a preparar las maletas para el cuarto evento en Berlín, bajo el tema «Identidad cultural, social y de género: luchando juntas contra la discriminación múltiple», un interesante espacio donde pudimos descifrar las claves para construir una sociedad igualitaria, libre de prejuicios y abierta a todas y todos. Con la participación de colectivos y organizaciones de mujeres migrantes, refugiadas, de familias plurilingües, madres y abuelas contra el cambio climático; organizaciones de vecinas y vecinos y colectivos LGTBI, pudimos trazar claves desde las bases hacia el futuro que queremos construir.
Los días 26 y 27 de mayo nos reunimos en la sede de AWO junto con nuestras anfitrionas de Sozial Label, donde pudimos conocer al grupo local conformado por mujeres de diferentes nacionalidades, religiones, orígenes culturales y sociales, así como asociaciones como Omas for Future y Nest Berlín, que realizan una impresionante de sensibilización ambiental y social. Además, pudimos conocer la historia del barrio de Kreuzberg y las múltiples iniciativas vecinales, sociales y culturales que dan cuenta del carácter cosmopolita de Berlín.
Ahora, nos estamos preparando para el quinto evento a realizarse en Pieve Santo Stefano, un pequeño pueblo de Toscana, donde estaremos hablando sobre la participación de las mujeres en el cambio social europeo.
Los resultados de todas las actividades que se llevan a cabo durante los eventos, serán plasmados en un documento estratégico, donde recogeremos las inquietudes, sugerencias y planteamientos desde las bases de la sociedad para resolver los temas propuestos en cada país. Sin duda, una instancia necesaria para recoger las voces de las mujeres y darle cabida en la agenda política europea.

News from Bucharest and Berlin
Madrid, June 10, 2025. The project Women4Future: Women for the Future of Europe continues to make good progress in the seven countries that make up the consortium of partners. On March 12 and 13, the third event took place in Bucharest, Romania, where we discussed women entrepreneurs as important agents of socioeconomic change in different European countries. The theme of the event was “Women as drivers of socioeconomic change,” dedicated to investigating how women, alone or in networks, activate new ways of entrepreneurship and business leadership, leaving a social mark and emphasizing the needs of their environment.
Two intense days of plenary sessions, panel discussions, participatory workshops, and cultural activities allowed us to learn about the history of many women entrepreneurs, their incredible contributions, their strengths, and the challenges they face on a daily basis.
During the visit, we had the opportunity to discover the impressive city of Bucharest on a tour steeped in the stories of women: spies, queens, actresses, singers, athletes, and anonymous women who shaped Romania’s recent history.
In addition, and in line with the theme of the third event, we learned about the history and work of the Séneca Anticafé bookstore, an initiative led by women entrepreneurs with social impact, and we also met Felicia and the Green Mogo Cultural Center, and learned about their impressive work in education and their example of resilience in the face of adversity. These were undoubtedly inspiring experiences of women who are making a difference in their communities and who showed us the power of Romanian women, guided by our hosts from Pro Xpert.
Once the event in Bucharest was over, we began packing our bags for the fourth event in Berlin, under the theme “Cultural, social, and gender identity: fighting together against multiple discrimination”, an interesting space where we were able to decipher the keys to building an egalitarian society, free of prejudice and open to all. With the participation of collectives and organizations of migrant women, refugees, multilingual families, mothers and grandmothers against climate change, neighborhood organizations, and LGTBI collectives, we were able to outline key points from the grassroots level for the future we want to build.
On May 26 and 27, we met at the headquarters of AWO together with our hosts from Sozial Label, where we were able to meet the local group made up of women of different nationalities, religions, cultural and social backgrounds, as well as associations such as Omas for Future and Nest Berlin, which carry out impressive environmental and social awareness work. We also learned about the history of the Kreuzberg neighborhood and the many neighborhood, social, and cultural initiatives that reflect Berlin’s cosmopolitan character.
Now, we are preparing for the fifth event to be held in Pieve Santo Stefano, a small town in Tuscany, where we will be talking about women’s participation in European social change.
The results of all the activities carried out during the events will be compiled in a strategic document, where we will gather the concerns, suggestions, and proposals from the grassroots level of society to address the issues raised in each country. This is undoubtedly a necessary step to gather women’s voices and give them a place on the European political agenda.
